The thing about your past is that it shaped your identity, it feels familiar, it is comfortable but it is not home.
You see, when times get tough, it can feel safe to revert to what is comfortable. The future is uncomfortable, we can’t see what is ahead and it will require sacrifice.
Are you willing to sacrifice who you are today, what you have achieved, who people identify with in honour of who you will become?
Remember how scary it was to share how you felt, to open up, to be vulnerable? That was so uncomfortable but led to such beauty from marriage through to your children. I told you to trust the process.
I respect you because you are genuine, generous and talented. No one can take this from you because it’s God sent, not man made.
I don’t think you realise that you’re not even close to fulfilling your potential. This potential isn’t based on money, fame and title…but your potential to change lives. The MBE, MBA’s and awards come and go but changing someones life, that’s eternal, that is where legacy lives.
You are in the business of changing lives.
You can’t itemise what you bring. You don’t fit into a rigid role or job description. You have a Calling that you live through your various channels…and you are ‘starting’ to live it.
Your CV gets you in the room but it’s eclipsed by your Purpose, Calling and Impact.
You are salt and light…as a result you are highly blessed and favoured.
…… it is so important the stories you tell your self. Keep this one, believe it and live it.
